The World Academic Olympics (WAO) is a bold evolution of the Academic Marathon, which has been inspiring students since its inception in 2019, transforming it into a global competition with an expanded vision and purpose. Building on the legacy of AM, WAO offers an even larger platform that combines the excitement of competition with a focus on academic excellence at a college level.

Meanwhile, WAO continues to honor and include Academic Marathon as a significant part of its program.

Abstract Waves

Competitive Track

WAO offers a diverse range of competitive tracks and events

designed to challenge and inspire high school students.

They are structured to reflect college-level curricula,

providing a platform for young scholars to showcase their talents and achieve academic excellence.

Additionally, the Junior Track offers opportunities for students in middle school to engage in academic pursuits in a supportive environment.

Why WAO?

Comprehensive Events

WAO offers the most comprehensive range of competitive events, spanning multiple fields and subjects. Whether you're passionate about the sciences, humanities, arts, or social sciences, WAO has a track for you.

Global Representation

WAO takes pride in its extensive global reach, attracting participants from around the world. With no geographical constraints, students from diverse backgrounds and regions come together to compete, learn, and share their unique perspectives, proving WAO's prestige and commitment to international collaboration.

High-Level Challenge

WAO events are designed to offer a collegiate level of challenge, pushing students to reach new heights in their academic pursuits. Participants engage in rigorous, thought-provoking competitions that prepare them for the demands of higher education and beyond, ensuring they are well-equipped for future academic and career success.

All-Year-Round Opportunities

With events scheduled throughout the academic year, WAO ensures continuous engagement and learning for students. This all-year-round format allows participants to compete at their own pace, with multiple opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and gain recognition over the course of the year.

Recognition and Awards

WAO is structured more as a standard academic test. Each event focuses on assessing students based on their scores, allowing them to test their own abilities according to their academic interests. Students receive grades and transcripts, providing a personal evaluation of their skills.

For those who excel, WAO also emphasizes recognition, awarding top performers with prestigious awards and certificates to acknowledge their outstanding achievements.

Winners and high achievers at WAO have the chance to be invited to other prestigious international competitions.
